ÿþBeing a sneaker free Nike Classic agent means you can do just about anything you damn well please. Take John Wall , for example. If he was still an adidas athlete, there's a good chance the majority of the sneaker world would have ignored him and his J Wall 2s. But last night at the NBA All-Star Game, he got everybody talking with his kicks. Prior to the game, he teased that he was going to wear the Nike Kobe 11 Last Emperor on the NBA's Twitter account. That turned out to be a red herring.
A lot of the credit has to go to Nike KD 9, uh& I mean Kevin Durant and the Air Jordan XXX, errr& actually Russell Westbrook. With the OKC big men providing the toughness, rebounding and Nike Classics defense, Durant and Westbrook have been able to score at a high rate especially at home. Durant once again wore the Nike KD 9 Cool Grey Preheat while Russell Westbrook continues to make the Air Jordan XXX look good, no matter how orange Nike Classic Shoes it gets.
We know he'll be great or do his damndest to get there. And he delivered with 32 points, 11 rebounds, 6 assists and an iconic moment in the form of the alley-oop above from Kyrie.LeBron not only threw one down, he went throwback as he debuted the Nike LeBron Soldier 10. Before Nike went Elite and dropped premium priced performance kicks for the playoffs, LeBron wore his takedown Soldiers for his playoff runs. As the venue moved east, so did the colors as Kyrie debuted a Nike Air Max 360 white.
The MVP's Curry Two was in full display on Thursday night, as were Russell Westbrook's Air Jordan XXX PE, Kevin Durant's Nike KD 9 Cool Grey and much more. And with that in mind, we have to keep ourselves amused at the KoF Offices by finding other things to talk about, such as the Ky-Rispy Kreme 2 iDs that Kyrie Irving wore last night in the Cavs' victory. The much-hyped NIKEiD pair helped Uncle Drew score 26 points. For more Ky-Rispy Kreme goodness.
Check out our Fun With NIKEiD post where we change up the Ky-Rispy colorways .As for the rest of the night in kicks, we said goodbye to Russell Westbrook's Air Jordan XXX PEs, Kevin Durant's new Nike KD 9 and Dion Waiters for well, being Dion Waiters. Get that max contract somewhere, Dion& So in one corner we have what many consider the single greatest basketball shoe (looks-wise) in the Air Jordan 11 Concord. On the other side we Nike Air Yeezy have a retro of a shoe that last came out in 2009 .
It felt like more of a moral victory for the All-Star and his fans than an event that should have struck fear in the hearts of other Eastern Conference teams. But now George is on the comeback trail proper with a full training camp and new teammates to get acquainted with (#MONTABALL) and he's bringing an old friend with him in the form of the Kobe 7.When George was still a rising star for the Pacers a few
years back, he rocked NIKEiD versions of the Kobe 7.
