Now it turns out that that Gel Saga along with the one you see above were both inspired by 90 s outdoor gear such as sweaters, jackets, windbreakers and vests. The Asics Gel Saga you see above comes in a purple tonal upper with pink hits making some nice contrast on the shoe. Below the base you will find on off-white speckled midsole to balance out the look of the shoe. The colors used on the shoe are said to resemble the colorways that were often used on the outdoor gear from back in the 90s. The Asics Gel Lyte 3 is celebrating 25 years of greatness in 2015 and we ve already seen the split-tongue silhouette release as a part of various collaborations. But none of them may be more impressive than this one with Taiwan-based Invincible. Inspired by the discovery of the island of Taiwan by Portuguese sailors in 1542, these sailors named the island Ilha Formosa, which means  beautiful island. This Gel Lyte 3 draws inspiration from the grey-feathered bird and utilizes a nappy suede throughout the majority of the upper in different shades of grey. The all read sneaker movement continues right into the Fall. When will it end? Who knows, but we know that it WON T end in 2015. Next to join the Red October all-red party is an unusual silhouette from Asics, the Gel Kayano Trainer. This version of the classic 90s silhouette has been given a rugged makeover making it better suitable for the Fall and Winter months that require that extra layer of protection. The upper is composed of nylon and suede along with waterproof, breathable GORE-TEX fabric. A rubber heel cage and branding stripes have also been added for a nice touch as well as a leather embossed tongue tag. One must understand that not every shoe you have has to be vibrant, loud and bright. Sometimes less is more, as is the case with the Asics Gel Saga which rocks a look that can t be any more subtle even if it tried. Okay, maybe I m pushing it, but you get the point. The Asics Gel Saga comes in a colorway that not only works for this Fall season, but it probably works all year-round. Coming in a solid black mesh upper, the tonal look is offset by the light grey hits found by way of the Asics stripes on the side panels, eyelets and branding on the shoe. The midsole comes in white with a hint of grey placed on the rear portion of the midsole. Available now, you really can t go wrong with picking up a pair of these.

With the holiday season quickly approaching we are starting to see what these brands have in store. Next up we see a little bit of what Asics has planned to wrap up the year. The Asics Gel Christmas Pack is slated to release in a few months right before Christmas arrives. The pack will consist of two different shoes, one being the Asics Gel Lyte III the other being the Asics Gel Lyte V. The Asics Gel Lyte 3 will be coming dressed in Red and Black and is being dubbed the Bad Santa edition. The Asics Gel Lyte 5 will be nicknamed the Jack Frost and will be coming in a mix of Teal and Grey. Both shoes are crafted with a nubuck upper and feature speckled midsoles to complete the look. Look for the Asics Gel Lyte Christmas Pack to arrive November 27th at select overseas retailers. There is no word yet on if they will hit Stateside.

Asics has been dominating in their own way for quite some time now, and it looks reebok club c 85 like they have no plans on slowing down.
